Our premium Matcha and Sencha teas are grown and harvested throughout the year in a small farm in the remote city of Uji, located in the Kyoto Prefecture of Japan. The farm has been in operation for over 100 years perfecting the process for growing superior tea leaves. Farming expertise combined with Uji’s stable climate, fertile soil and fresh waters produce the highest quality tea leaves.

Three weeks before harvesting, our tea leaves are shade grown resulting into darker, more nutritious leaves. Once the leaves are ready for harvest, farmers carefully hand-pick each leaf selecting the youngest and smallest leaves. After harvest, the stems and veins are removed to prepare the leaves for stone mill grinding.
